Willing Assets To A Child

Featured Replies

Hi I wish to leave my assets 2 condos and bank balance to a child for his education and upbringing. I cannot leave them to his Thai family for obvious reasons.

Essentially the assets need to be realised into cash or revenue.

A Trust Fund seems the right option, but I am very wary of law firms, (being quoted 30,000 baht..special price of course, for a one page will, this is without any reference to a trust, but a simple will to one adult.

The people I can trust and might live for the next 20 years do not exist.

Any suggestions please.

You can will property to a child without any problem. The condos will be under the protection of the courts. The guardians of the child will not be able to sell the condos with prior approval of the court, which is not easily obtained and would require a very good reason.

The bankaccount is something else. maybe you could establish a trust fund in your own country.
