Best 3G In Phuket Town

Featured Replies

Hi,

I live in Phuket at around 1 km to Bangkok Hospital. Which is the more reliable 3G network and with reasonable price please ? Cat Telecom, True Internet or another one ? Thank you so much for your help :)

It seems you are confused? 3G is provided by telephone carriers, AIS, DTAC and True, not by CAT or True Internet. I don't live in that area, so I'm not sure what Internet Service Providers there are. I use 3 BB for my ISP, it seems to be very reliable and I use AIS for my mobile.

Ah yes sorry it's not the same think CDMA or 3G but which one is the fastest ? How much do you pay 3BB please ? You have a limited download? Thanks

Sorry but 3BB is ADSL and I think you have to sign a year contract, unless you are Thai. It's 6 Mbps and it's 630 Baht a month, unlimited usage. From what I've read CAT is discontinuing CDMA internet service. So if you are looking for mobile internet I think AIS is probably the best. They have different usage plans. Just do a Google search for AIS Thailand and look at their plans. it also shows a coverage map for Phuket on their site. Same with DTAC, who wanted me to sign a year contract for data, or True. You can compare for yourself. Also check http://www.khunwoody...internet-speed/

3BB monthly rate start about 630 baht for 10 megs, then about 960 baht for 13 megs. They is no data limit.

CAT does also offer 3G with 4GB high speed data limit for 599 plus vat. After that the speed is capped to 384kbps which is better offer than what AIS, True or DTAC are offering.

CAT CDMA (fully unlimited promotion) is going to be discontinued at the end of the year if there is no extension yet again. Still this is not an option for new subscribers.
