Photography And The Arts

I'm just curious why this section is called "Photography and the Arts" when it seems to be photography only. Yes photography is an art as well so maybe it should be called "The Art of photograhy".

Then maybe you could have a section called the "Arts" for the Arts (fine art, music, dance, etc.)

I think with all the Creative type of people in Thailand, or interested in Thailand, it would be an active forum.

Just an idea.

I think Ijustwannateach posted a topic on theatrical arts (Das Rheingold).

Unless we'll see more non-photography threads appearing in this forum, I think the forum name should be renamed to "photography and visual arts".

Interesting idea's gentlemen!

But I got a strange feeling that it wouldn't work.

The typical thing with art is that if you try to catch it in words it very quick becomes nonsense.

For my work I have been writing this kind of nonsense for many years, knowing that nobody would read it anyhow.

And this forum is based on words, so there you go.

In the Chiang Rai forum I sometimes write about things happening here which are related to art.

Very few people read it.

And they are right: I wouldn't read it myself if I hadn't written it.

Nothing more boring than to read about art.

But this forum has a potential and I am happy that you are thinking about it!

Keep up the spirit!

Maybe time for a 'pilot project'? A Thaivisa.com thing?
