Epsom Salts

Featured Replies

Looking for Epsom Salts "in Chiang Mai". No luck today, checked a few drug stores and Big C.

I've been looking on and off for months in Bangkok with no luck. I'm in Penang right now where I've bought them before. If you're desperate, I'll grab an extra box for you. Does anyone know the Thai word for them?

Try the various chemical supply shops around Chiang Mai, but instead of asking for Epsom Salts,

ask for 'Magnesium sulfate.' Dollars to donunts they all carry it.

Bath salts for fun??

Aden on the Nimmanhimen road has, for sure. :)

Pharmacy supply shop would be your best bet - I got a box of borax from them. There's a good one on the inside of (and straight across from) the moat between North Gate and the big Samsung centre. Write anything down and they spot what you want pretty quickly.

The pharmacy just outside the Tops market in Kad Suan Kaew has it. I bought some there about two months ago.

Sure you want magnesium sulphate? I googled alum and got aluminum sulfate.

Also available at Union Science. 45 baht per kilo

I was looking for it months ago, too. the pharmacies said they couldn't carry it. I don't know why.

I tracked it down at a AG chemical store on the road leading to the Narawat Bridge. on your left between the last two lights before the bridge. blue sign w/ white letters (Thai). the head lady speaks good English and sells magnesium sulfate by the kilo. cheap, too, but it's been a while.

it's the only source I've found, though you could also check Union Science opposite the CMU Nursing (?) college. on your left JUST before the light onto Nimmen.
