mjj
Maybe some people (me) don't like SUV's or pick ups?? In actual fact whilst driving I felt more likely to have an accident in the 2 years I had a pickup, than all the years in a car. Personally, I found the combination of terrible weight distribution, awful brakes and wobbly handing quite unnerving at times - especially in the wet. Tailgating - pull over or speed up. Sleepy drivers - more likely HGV or bus drivers and the 'little' Fortuner will look a mess. In understand your point, but I think whilst pickups and SUV's will come off better in a crash, the flip side is they will also be more likely to be in a crash. Double edged sword.
