US chipmaker Intel Corp. announced on Thursday that it is setting up a distribution channel for its products in Burma, The Wall Street Journal reports. Intel has entered into a distribution agreement with external agents US IT-services company Ingram and Myanmar sales agent KMD, which will handle the sales of the company’s microprocessors and hard drives. Intel is among a group of US companies, such as Coca Cola, PepsiCo and General Electric, that have decided to do business in Burma following the lifting of international sanctions earlier this year.

Us Chipmaker Intel To Begin Official Sales In Burma"

Have noticed journalists covering all things Burma do get a bit carried away and like to claim every new announcement is 'the first' time something has happened here or there is a 're-entry', even when it's not always the case in practice.
