Google Search In Firefox - Has Something Changed?

Featured Replies

These days when I type the URL

google.com

it resolves to

http://www.google.co.th/

as I see in the URL in the location bar.

I then click

Google.co.th ที่อยู่ในภาษา: English

and the page comes up in English.

I begin typing in what I'm searching for, the page automatically goes to what will be the results page,

and commences auto-fill in, anticipating what it is I want. Then when I have the search term

completed I either hit ENTER or click the search button (magnifying glass), and I can see the long,

complex URL in the location bar, but the search results don't render, leaving the search results blank!

However the google buttons offering images, news maps etc are there. If I click one of them it'll work,

then from there I click 'Web' and I get the results page like I would have expected in the first place.

This silliness just started in the past few days, anyone else getting this? I ran Malwarebytes but it

didn't catch any problems. This weirdness does not happen in Chrome.

Anyway, what I would really like to do is be able to have a bookmark for google that when I click it

I'll get the English version of the search page, and then have things work properly (of course).

I had this at one time but can't make that happen again. The link in the lower-right corner of the

initial search page has a google.com link that resolves to

www.google.co.th/setprefdomain?prefdom=US&sig=some_magic_number

(where some_magic_number is something generated on the spot, I think). If this is bookmarked it

will resolve to www.google.co.th.

This is driving me nuts!

BTW I am not logged in to any of the google services when I do this. I'm posting here because

I have an idea it might have something to do with the .th page.
