Ever Go To The Planetarium?

Featured Replies

Was walking by the Ekkamai area and I see the planetarium. 30 baht so why not?

The voice over was all Thai but the writing on the ceiling during the show is all English.

Now I can point to Uranus!

There's a Planetarium??

What's the local price?

30 baht for all. 20 baht for kids. The science center is free. The ticket is also good for the aquarium. Next to Ekkamai bus station. Nice little park too.

Message for all keen UK astronomers the Great Sir Patrick Moore passed away 8th Dec.

RIP a great man.

The BF dragged me to the Planetarium and we had a really good time...

I might be 40 years old but that didn't stop me from playing with the Rube Goldberg machine in the science center!

I used to go there frequently with my daughter when she was a kid. You can buy 2 tickets. One is an entrance ticket for the complex includes the science and natural history sections plus aquarium. It's 'hand-on' so sometimes some of the exhibits have been played with to death and don't work - but a lot of educational stuff. I think that costs about 40 baht? Then you pay the 30 baht for the planetarium.

If your Thai's good enough, you'll be able to learn the names of the constellations in Thai.

There's also the National Science Museum at Khlong Luang. We only went there once but that was pretty good. Much more modern than the Ekamai centre and I believe they have a planetarium there too now.

I've lived nearby for years and never gone there, I really must give it a try.

I used to go to The London Planetarium before it shut down, and think that cost about twenty quid.
