KhonJaiYen Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 I've done this trip a few times, but to Kalasin not Maha Sarakham. Generally, I take 2 days, stopping in Phitsanaluk. The trip across the mountains from Khon Kean to Phitsanaluk has some of the most beautifal scenery you will find in Thailand. Well worth taking your time and enjoying the views.
