Hello Folks

I am flying back to UK next week and realised that as I have paid cash to the travel agent, and not by credit card, I should get a comprehensive travel insurance.

I spoke to my travel agent today who told me that they do not arrange insurance anymore (strange eh?)

Could I please have some suggestions (the agent said BUPA near BPH)

ps I fly Monday so will need to arrange it tomorrow Saturday

pps I am an HSBC Premier account holder, is their free insurance cover adequate?

Bupa is pay and claim. Even the gold premium.

I use them also. Had a claim one time and it was no hassle getting it sorted out and receiving our money.

Pleased to hear that as I have been using them for quite a while but have never had to claim.

This is not correct, I have a BUPA Gold Annual Multi Trip Policy and in November last year while getting off a plane at LAX I notice my retina was starting to detach, went straight to a retinal specialist after a quick exam to confirm the retina specialist staff contacted BUPA's contact line, sent the approval documents and in 6 hours my operation was approved and fully covered more than 25,000 UK Pounds for Doctor, operation and short hospital stay.

BUPA excluded cover for my eye for about 6 months and recovered it after 6 months.

Some misc expenses like medicines, transport etc I paid and they promptly paid back. Best $500 I have ever spent.

BUPA and LMG packages can both be bought quickly and cheaply.

LMG are cheaper than BUPA.

I got mine from Jack Levy at MBMG on South Rd.
