Baccarat Gambling Operation at South Pattaya Internet Cafe shut-down by Police

PATTAYA:--Just after 1am on Saturday Pattaya Police conducted a raid on an Online Gaming Shop in South Pattaya which was suspected of being used as an illegal online gambling centre.

Police raided the shop, located close to the Land Department Office in Soi 17 off Pattaya Third Road and detained 3 men and 2 women inside. Khun Pishaert aged 28 was identified as the manager of the shop which appeared to be a normal Internet Shop until you walk through to a room at the back of the premise which was used for online gambling.

5 computer sets, 20,000 Baht in cash and WIFI equipment was seized along with 500 Baht gambling coupons.

Mini Casino raided by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA:--A central Pattaya internet shop was r aided on Saturday as Police followed up on reports of an illegal gambling centre on the premises.

The 28 year old Manager, was detained as officers checked out the shop which, on the face of it, appeared to be just another internet café .

In a room to the rear they discovered extra computer equipment and gaming tokens for online gambling. 2 men and 2 women were caught in the act of gambling and were arrested along with the manager. Police confiscated five Computer serversand screens, over 20,000 baht in cash and the gambling chips.

Various games were discovered on the computer system that allowed gambling from 100 baht upwards. Gambling, however, of any kind is illegal in Thailand and all involved will be charged.
