December 19, 201213 yr As of yesterday, there were two 32GB no 3G in Paragon Department store (inside the mall, right hand side as coming from the skytrain, 3rd or 4th floor). Good luck
December 19, 201213 yr Author As of yesterday, there were two 32GB no 3G in Paragon Department store (inside the mall, right hand side as coming from the skytrain, 3rd or 4th floor). Good luck Thanks, but I live in Pattaya.
December 19, 201213 yr As of yesterday, there were two 32GB no 3G in Paragon Department store (inside the mall, right hand side as coming from the skytrain, 3rd or 4th floor). Good luck Thanks for the heads up. This should help those looking to purchase an N7. I looked in some IT City, PowerBuy and tablet shops in/around Bangkok - Central Rama 9, Central Bang Na, Seacon - and saw N7/16 GB/WiFi models. Also spoke with a friend who operates a small mobile phone kiosk in Seacon and she said it was no problem to get one there - she sources some of her inventory from other shops, and matches price. Its still not clear to me if the OP wants to buy an N7, or was simply asking why they seemed hard to find. If the latter, then most would deduce that the product is popular, and demand outstripped supply. I suspect the popularity of this model - with its feature set and price-point - maybe caught Asus by surprise, and even Google to some extent - and they are scrambling to build more, upping the base model from 8 GB to 16 GB and adding a 3G version.

I was commenting on the scarcity, and yes I want to buy, but have not seen one in any shop in Pattaya. In the major IT outlet, Tucom (mini MBK), not one retailer I asked had even heard of the Nexus 7. Unless you wanted an I Pad or Galaxy, there was very little alternative. December 23, 201213 yr For real scarcity, check out the Nexus 4. LG really screwed up big time. The "X" will be out before we see any more N4's.
December 23, 201213 yr Author The OP really DOES want to buy one, but wants to buy it ONLY in Pattaya. Correct.
December 23, 201213 yr Meant to post this re: N4 shortages. I was thinking of getting one this trip, that's not gonna happen! Nexus 4 stock fiasco but not just the phone that is MIA Date: December 22nd, 2012 If there’s one smartphone story that has disappointed us this year, it has been the saga of the Google Nexus 4 made by LG. The lack of stock persists with many potential buyers left hanging on, either waiting weeks for orders or not even being able to place an order. It’s such a shame when the phone itself looks so mightily impressive and it’s success, in a way, has been its own downfall. Today though we want to turn to the fact that it’s not just the phone that’s MIA, but there has also been a distinct lack of official accessories, so Google seems to have missed another golden opportunity. http://www.phonesrev...ne-that-is-mia/ Lots of N7's available in the U.S. I can bring one back for say 12,000 baht. If the N4 is out of stock . Get the Lg 4x hd pretty much same spec 16900b here in Thailand. Sure more expensive than US price of N4 but it is capable of taking an SD card. sent from my Q6
December 24, 201213 yr Seen on the Power Buy on-line shop: http://www.powerbuy.co.th/OP-20121221-Nexus7.aspx
December 24, 201213 yr One on craigslist, 8,300b. He recently reduced price to 8100 baht, and then increased to 8500 baht with "Scarcity excuse". Unbeliveable. You increase price of something you can't even sell at 8100 baht, which was a good price for used nexus IMHO.

That makes sense. They don't want to worry their manufacturer partners like Samsung & LG & Recently bought Motorola & HTC (so many ands). They just want to show off they can make and sell cheap phone, if you can find in stock or desperate enough to wait 2 months.
