December 19, 201213 yr I will be down in the Big Mango and one of the thing on the list is a decent looking and sensibly priced plastic Christmas tree. The offerings up here in Udon are pretty abysmal with some sparsely limbed thing that struggles to reach 3' going for about 1000 baht. Any clues as to what mall I need to hit and which store has something at least 5' tall would be much appreciated. Thanks, NL

December 19, 201213 yr Author Buy a real one at IKEA. http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_TH/activities/2012_christmastree.html Aha! I wish I had seen this before I bought the plane ticket. I could have taken the pickup truck and brought it home myself. I doubt it will fit in the overhead locker!

December 23, 201213 yr Author Ended up splurging 990 baht for the 7-foot plastic horror from Big-C and another 500 baht on tinsel, lights, balls, bells, candy canes, wee Santas, little packages, tin drums, etc., from Amorn. Spent an hour rigging it all up in the car port and when the lad came home from his fishing trip, he said "Wow... that's cool dad!" My Christmas is complete!
