Holiday Tourists Flooding Pattaya With Cash

PATTAYA:--Joyful Pattaya businesses and hotels reaching 100 percent capacity are enjoying the flowing cash of the busy season. An added bonus is the many tourists who continue to stay in Pattaya after the holidays. A business leader estimated that in the one-week period between Christmas and New Year’s Day, more than 6 billion baht is being circulated in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – December 20, 2012 [PDN]; The beginning of the high season has started in Pattaya with tourists flooding the city, said Mr. Wiwat Pattanasin, president of the business and tourism association of Pattaya City.

With Christmas and the New Year’s festivals approaching, the whole city is bustling with activity, with the Russian, Chinese, Indian and European tourists rapidly filling the accommodations and hotels around the city, he said. Pattaya’s hotel rooms and accomodations are about 90% full right now, Mr. Wiwat said, and will soon reach 100 percent capacity.

Business owners in Pattaya have been preparing to welcome the customers by expanding their rooms, setting up decorations, adding workers, and having extra services to meet the demand of all the visitors.
