Sexual assault Sexual assault happens when someone either touches another person in a sexual manner without consent or makes another person touch them in a sexual manner without consent. It includes unwanted kissing and the touching of someone's genitals, breasts or bottom. Seems perhaps some exaggeration is being made here to make it seem a lot worse than it was. The man may have been drunk and grabbed her. But was it sexual assault? Perhaps not. -

Fire Breaks Out in Tissue Paper Warehouse, Contained in Time
A fire broke out at a tissue paper storage warehouse in Soi Petchngam, Phraeksa Mai, Samut Prakan, narrowly avoiding a complete disaster. Thanks to the swift actions of workers from a nearby warehouse, who used chemical fire extinguishers, moved stock and called the fire service, the blaze was contained before it could engulf the entire facility. The incident occurred at approximately 18:00 on November 18. Pol. Lt. Col. Samai Charoenrat of Bang Pu Police Station received the report and dispatched multiple fire engines from the Phraeksa Mai Municipality and neighbouring districts to the scene. The fire originated in Warehouse 10 of a large storage complex, which was filled with stacks of tissue paper. Workers from nearby warehouses helped to move some of the stock outside while firefighters battled the flames. Due to the fire burning beneath the stacks of tissue paper, firefighters had to cut through the warehouse’s sheet metal walls to directly spray water on the flames. After approximately 50 minutes, the fire was successfully extinguished. Initial inspections revealed that part of the warehouse had been modified into an office area. The stored tissue paper suffered partial damage, but fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Mrs. Areewan Moka, 54, the warehouse manager, stated that the warehouse was leased to another party. She had previously warned the tenants about fire hazards and the improper stacking of goods, which made it difficult to access the area for maintenance. “I advised them to leave clear walkways, but they didn’t organize the space properly,” she said. A nearby warehouse worker noticed the fire and alerted her, allowing the situation to be addressed quickly. Mrs. Chananchida Kerdsawat, 45, the head technician, mentioned that the fire appeared to have started in the middle of the warehouse. The facility was closed at the time, and she had locked it at around 16:00, seeing no signs of any issues. By 18:00 smoke was spotted coming from the building. “The warehouse has electrical wiring running in rows, but the exact cause is still unclear,” she noted. Mr. Saeng Saikaew, 31, a supervisor at a neighbouring warehouse, said he saw the fire while working nearby. “I grabbed a hammer to break open the door, as no one was inside. We used 12 fire extinguishers to try to control the flames while calling the fire department,” he explained. Police have recorded the incident and will coordinate with forensic officials to investigate the cause of the fire further. Legal proceedings will follow as necessary. Trump, who will take office in two months, has vowed to implement mass deportations. His chosen "border czar," Tim Homan, a former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has strongly criticized sanctuary cities. Homan recently told Fox News, "Nothing will stop us from deporting migrant criminals. We're going to do the job with you, or without you." These statements echo Trump's campaign rhetoric targeting sanctuary cities, where local governments limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. Sanctuary city designations are not legally defined but reflect various local approaches, such as altering policing practices or enacting specific laws. Los Angeles’ efforts extend to its school system, located approximately 140 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. The school board will vote on emergency resolutions that directly challenge anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQ sentiment, which board president Jackie Goldberg attributes to the incoming administration. “We’re not going to be running in fear,” Goldberg told the *Los Angeles Times*. “We’re going to fight you, every inch of the way.” One resolution reaffirms the district’s commitment to immigrant students, families, and staff, framing Trump’s election as the victory of a candidate with an anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQ+ agenda. The school board is also considering implementing a high school course to educate students on current events and extending existing non-discrimination policies to cover not just students but also their families, employees, and relatives. California’s laws already prohibit schools from inquiring about students' immigration status, reflecting the state's sizable population of mixed-status families. Although federal law mandates public schools to enroll all eligible students, much of the governance is left to states and local districts.
