tartempion Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Any one had to pay excess luggage flying Nok? Their website mentions 50B/kg. I recently flew Air Asia to Udon Thani out of DM because Thai's first flight leaves Swampy at 07.05 whilst Etihad arrives around 07.00 and TG next flight goes at 14.00 . AA leaves DM at 11 and I paid approx 2250 allowing for 40kgs. I had 46kgs and had packed 2 postboxes weighting 2x5kg, ready to drop them at the post office in the check in hall at 20B/kg I think. I also doubt TG would let me check in 40kgs in economy without surcharge? AA check in girl told me I had 10 kg excess at 400B/kg and needed to pay 4000 extra No, I did not pay one baht, showed her I was allowed 40kgs and removed 5kgs to my back pack. Nok leaves DM at 10.15 and if surcharge is really 50B/kg I might opt for Nok, but max you can book is 20kgs?
Theboy Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 All I can say is I have found Nok a far better airline than AAsia and would always use Nok out of choice if I wanted a cheepy ticket 1

ggold Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Have been over weight with luggage before with nok air, up to about 26kl once, never had any problems. But 40kl, I think there will be a surcharge. Sent from my GT-P6200 using Thaivisa Connect App
PoorSucker Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Last time I flew with AA i weighted my luggage before leaving for airport. 4 kg overweight, no problem I logged in to AA's website and changed my booking to 25 kg for a total cost of 107 baht.
chuang Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Had about 2 kgs excess with Nok Air, no problem....With Airasia was told to off-load 2 kgs from my 22 kgs... Just a couple of weeks back on AA ,.topped-up my baggage from 20 to 25 kgs just to play safe...when checked in the total weight was 19 plus kgs. On my baggage coupon the counter staff printed the total weight as 21 kgs....when asked why she said same same...ridiculous
ShopBoy Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 was excess 7 kg from nok recently and ask them politely if they could waive it they waive 5 kg and paid 2 kg excess happy man not for airasia for over 2 kg they told me either remove it or pay the excess i have been a flyer with nok air for sometimes because of this unless i am flying overseas
sosisbesar Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 ... I paid approx 2250 allowing for 40kgs ... Hmm ... strange ... http://www.airasia.c...-charges.page?# Check-In Baggage (Pre-book) Domestic (up to 40kg) THB 1210
tartempion Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 2250 was total ticket price, something like 1250 to add 40kgs
