January 5, 201313 yr Re .... Rsquared question "Not sure, but I'm going to use the last letter of the first word "overdone", is this within the rules???" I think OK!!!! it's getting harder and harder to find images not used that will suit... I found old pics in my back ups, but man it's tedious and time consuming to open them and sort through Ears

January 5, 201313 yr Perhaps this game is also played out.. time for a rest....its always the same few playing anyway. Well, I think one or two have come on board... or may they are old and I am the new kid (ha ha !!!) on the block!!! The problem with this game, it tends not to have a lot of different letters, so limits it in that way.... Great to see all the fabulous images from everyone, .... plus some of my own I not looked at in a long time!!! So it's a great exercise... So any ideas ?
January 5, 201313 yr hmmmm, new kid... Before it was too easy and trivial and anyone could make a mistake and still referr to the OP. Afterwards the game was changes by Mr. FAB, esquire... into a novel game. Personally i do not see a problem and especially do not see any reason to call it quits. More strongly i would like to nudge this 'challenge' up 1 a bit. In other words, make it more difficult. In this one... you post a photo with a SINGLE (hyphenated allowed) word which is relevant or describes the topic or emotion the photo suggests. Thanks FAB. The next poster has to refer to the previous post verbally(1 word only title which also refers to his current post) or through his picture posted..... The underlying motivation to post should be to be more involved with the efforts taken by the previous poster and to challenge the next poster to come up with a good answer So first or last letters do not apply anymore. Example:

I am hoping by sorting out the backup files I have, that I can find some fresh material to work with.... cos it's getting harder and harder to try and remember if I used that image before!!!! Working fro two computers does not help..... ( I need to take Astrals advice and learn how to sync) .... there are some things I can never quite figure how to do !!! Enlightenment.... understand....? ..... well not totally yet, let me think on that!!! ..... I may have to sleep on that !!!

A bit of trivia and something pertinent to the rule and why it can be difficult to come up with something new. Most common last letters in a word in order of frequency. January 5, 201313 yr Or make it simple alphabet game. First word starts with A, second with B and so on. After Z it's back to A again. Accident..
January 6, 201313 yr Or make it simple alphabet game. First word starts with A, second with B and so on. After Z it's back to A again. Accident.. Well we have / had one of those going... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/247938-the-alphabet-game/ .... It sort of fizzled too... I think with me and perhaps others,? we need to catch up..... i.e..... Need to sort more old images or make new ones... So we don't post too many "bad shoots" .... There is a nice community of friendly people here, to support, so it would be nice to keep something going, what is also nice about it is seeing images from different parts of Thailand
January 6, 201313 yr Or make it simple alphabet game. First word starts with A, second with B and so on. After Z it's back to A again. Accident.. Oilinky, you were joking, right?
January 8, 201313 yr No, I was not joking. Just an idea.. which I know has been done before :/ Then how about weekly competition. Every week we'll name few subjects to take photos and then submit those here? For this I actually created an website few years back. That was in Finnish and have since been unused as I did lack of time to take care of it. I could turn that in English if people would like to participate? http://www.kuvakisa.com/
January 8, 201313 yr Supposed to be "which I know now has been done before :/" For some reason I dont't have the edit button visible. The idea is also that images are taken during that week. Eg. tasks to get our lazy bottoms outside to take the photos.
January 8, 201313 yr "The idea is also that images are taken during that week. Eg. tasks to get our lazy bottoms outside to take the photos." Yeah I agree !! I usually drag a camera around ... but the Canon is tedious, taking up space in my Shad box! Unless I am on a determine mission or going somewhere new, I tend to think to my self oh can get that another time and keep on driving! .... This is why a pocket camera is useful...just stop and shot, but even then I don't stop.... I think the Edit button last for half an hour here... maybe an hour! January 8, 201313 yr I dont have time for this guys... Not yet! I will be following your posts, though
February 21, 201313 yr Any ideas for a new game? I liked this game. I am thinking photo's/Thailand, location. How about you start a new thread posting a photo and the next poster has to answer this by posting a photo (taken form the same location/within 100 yards) followed by a new photo and new location of his own choice. Hows about that?>
February 21, 201313 yr The location has to be guesses correctly and then the previous poster has to confirm if he was right in the following post. All Photo's have to be self made and posters who guessed right have to post a fairly easy picture to be able to spot for other posters.
February 22, 201313 yr I like that idea, but it might prove to be a little too slow. If you don't know where it is, you have no option but to wait for someone who does, and if you do, you also need a photo from the same location.... could be very slow.
February 22, 201313 yr Just a proposal: Post a picture where things didn't work out like you wanted.. Could also tell then why it went wrong and in some cases, some of us could learn something (or laugh and have fun) Or does everyone on this forum throws away those pcs immediately? P.S. I won't start by posting the first pic ! ;-)

I'm not one to trash them immediately ... but should as they eat up tons of computer space!

I'm not one to trash them immediately ... but should as they eat up tons of computer space! How large are your pictures on average in MB Mr. Samuijimmy? Well, DAL- ing, it depends what size I shot them in and if I do RAW ... they are huge,,,, gobbles up a ton on space very quickly, that is why I have to sort out my MB Air...it's full Just looking at what I shot this morning, they vary from 1.2 MB to 2.80 MB each (no RAW files) but just in "small" setting... 2592 x 1728 pixel. Which are too large to post here! Re-sized to 1024 x 683 = 148 KB approx... In the last few days I made a mission to photograph every beach on Samui well over a 1000 shots so far. It takes a lot of time to sort and try to name correctly plus i get distracted with other tings!!!! Does that help? Edited February 23, 201313 yr by samuijimmy

Yes that helps a lot to broaden my view on my new perception of the 'post processing' work that is involved with playing with a more professional cam. My precious i call her ..... . Sorry dont have google +/facebook or any other things in that sharing direction. I oppose this..... Thanks for the input James Edited February 23, 201313 yr by Dancealot
