Question Extending 2-Entry Visum

Featured Replies

Good morning! I have bought a 2-entry visum in Holland on 25-11-2012 which expires at 25-04-2013.

I have to extend before 04-01-2012 and I want it to do tomorrow, 27-12-2012.

My question now are:

- is it possible to do this tomorrow?

- can I extend for the usual 60 days?

- what do I have to bring with me except my pasport and the visum I have already

- are there any costs?

Thank you very much for your reaction!!!

KR, Henrike

Yes, you can do it tomorrow.

No, you can only extend for 30 days. (You must make two entries into thailand of 60 days and each entry can be extended by 30 days). Your 2nd entry must be done before 25-04!.

Take:

- passport (plus copy of ID page and visa page + permission to stay)

- arrrival card (plus copy)

- passport photo

- 1,900 baht fee

You fill in a form at immigration.

If January 4th 2013 is your permit to stay date then you can extend it but that date does not match the normal 60 day entry you get with a tourist visa since you got your visa on Nov. 25. You may of gotten the wrong date stamped in your passport.

You need to double check your dates. If wrong stamp a trip to immigration to correct it would give you another 30 days without getting an extension 30 days.

You need photos, completed TM7 application form, passport photo page, copies of your visa, arrival/permit to stay stamps and TM6 departure card for the extension plus 1900 baht fee.
