Popular Post nokbird
As part of THAI's fleet upgrade, this is a shortened 747-400 with many less seats on Ultra Long Haul routes replacing in many airlines the old 747SP that were derived from the old 747-100's. I think it looks kind of sporty and cute.
astral
To be honest I thought the 747 range had been superceded? The 747-400ER is already a 10 year old concept, judging from this Boeing page Good photo, all the same!!
nokbird
Just to save people time, this is a Photoshoped B747-400 shrunk to look like a 100-ish SP. Prob would have got a few more bites on an aviation forum !!! Edit, the SP is a real model. It was built as an ultra long range machine at the request of customers that has sanctions like South Africa & Iran so they could just over fly countries that they would otherwise need to refuel in and that was back in the day when airlines considered service, respect and what customers wanted, like direct routes and convenience ...... Airline Evolution seems to have failed with the rise of maggot Airline companies like JetStar and once great companies like becoming little Irish maggot managements hideaways......
