Yes.

Several of our clients who are bands with foreign musicians, have set up their own Thai Limited Company. The employees have gotten a work permit with no problem.

True, You either need an employer or you could go with an agency who will give you info on permits.

I see. Maybe once I get to Thailand I can look up some of these groups to see if they are looking for a guitarist (he's really good). Thanks for the tip.
