Squat Toilet "adapter"

Featured Replies

I call these the "Norden" adapter for the squatters encountered all over the place, stands on four legs over the squatter and saves the knees for some of us folks. I used to be able to use these easily but as the years pass by, not so easily these days.

I've seen lots of these at various health outlets in the Rangsit Market and at Future Park Mall, but haven't yet seen one with folding legs, lots handier for taking along in the car when traveling about.

Anyone seen a folding type??

I'm sure Tesco Rangsit have / had ones that fold flat.

My knees are collapsible too, but that's what I'm trying to avoid.

The squatters would be easier to use if they had a sort of trapeze available.

I am with you on that. I am 68 and both knee caps are not so good nowadays, sling a bad back in as well and squatters become nightmare places to visit.

just get that removed and install a normal one. Easily done ,

A bit bulky to carry around on trips though. rolleyes.gif

Owners of guest houses and gas stations don't like me to do that!! FYI, we did remove the squatter in the spare crapper here at home, replaced with a sitter. Works fine, but would have to take the whole room with me. Hmmm, like a house trailer/mobile home?? Nahj.

Crossy, I checked Tesco-Lotus Rangsit this morning, nope, they suggested Home Pro, nope II, then tried Big C at Klong 6, Nope III.

The "Lao" pharmacy in the Rangsit Market where I've been buying stuff for lots of years has the adapters but with fixed legs. These'd work fine for regular use traveling around Thailand, but I'm looking for the folder that I can take along on trips to upcountry Laos. They had a catalog with a photo but seems like the dealer is out of stock.

Edit: adding photo of the adapters they do have.

I would highly suggest taking the plastic off before use.

I've been told an outfit called Chai Mongkol down Sai Mai way might have the folding "Norden." This may be a hospital or medical supply/equipment dealer.

I tried to Google it, no joy.

Ideas? Should be down on or near Pholyothin Road, Don Muang area, I'd guess.

It was emailed to me some time ago. I still think it is funny and possibly a good idea! Obviously whoever posted it before thought so too.
