Pages/word Compatibility Advice Please

Featured Replies

Hi there

I thought Pages was multi-compatible.

Today someone sent me a simple one page text file.

It opened fine.

I started to amend it and was able to just fine.

I sent it back to him and another person.

The other person read it fine, think he is Apple, but the original sender said "You're on Apple and it won't open"

I thought this was a thing of the stone age.

I would like to know how things stand. (yes I know i can google but maybe better to come here)

He says i must send back in Word so I guess he sent it in that. (I say guess because it opens in Pages format and APPLE-i does NOT get info...tho "wucik look gives it a docx postscript.) I know I can get Windows for Mac but hey what's up doc?
