Hi,I notice the pinned Vientiane tourist visa result links are early 2012 and it does change a lot with regard to up-to-date rule enforcement....

Has anyone been to Vientiane recently to get a new back-to-back tourist visa after a triple or double tourist visa?

I'm just completing under 9 months now.

Did you get it easily or any red stamp ?

One member gave advice to go through an agency there vs doing it myself.

I just want to leave the ed visa (my only other option after visa advise service contact) till as late as possible as I'm not good at languages !

You should have no problem getting a 2 entry visa in Vientiane.

If your 3 entry was from your home country that makes it even better for future visas.

Normally they get picky about more than 3 or 4 visas back to back from Vientiane.

Forget using an agency you can do it yourself.

Thanks Ubonjoe, yes my visa was from home country and no visas prior to that.This is my first long-stay in Thailand.

Glad to help.

By making a trip home about every 15 months and getting a new 3 entry visa a person could probably stay indefinitely on tourist visas. That trip home breaks the cycle of back to back visas from bordering embassies and consulates.

I am in the same boat. My triple from the US runs out in March.

Anyone else confirm or deny getting a double lately in Vientiane?

Makes sense to me but sometimes they get flakey from time to time.

If I can only get a single then would go the Language education route but a double TV and I am happy.

No changes posted for Vientiane 2 entry visas. You will not have a problem getting a 2 entry visa.
