January 4, 201313 yr I was perusing a favorite online shop and their flies on offer were Made in Thailand. I've been looking for flies here in BKK and find the selection to be pretty spotty and about triple the US discount price. Can anyone point me to a Thai source of flies either retail or preferably wholesale? I'd even be interested in contracting some local folks to tie some up for export if I could find a ready made supply that doesn't require a lot of investment and hand holding. Had great fun a few weeks ago at Pilot 111 tossing a 3 weight for fish that were way too big for a 3 weight.

January 7, 201313 yr Hi. I live in Loei & I taught my wife to tie flies a couple of years ago. I've set her up with an extensive kit & she has the ability to make a good selection of high quality flies & lures at good prices if you are interested. I used to have a tackle shop in Scotland & have been tying flies for 35 years. Nice to meet a fellow angler who appreciates the gentleman's sport. Tight lines mate! Joe.
January 29, 201313 yr Montana fly company has a big plant in Chiang Mai. You can get their website using Google. There are 4 or 5 fly tying companies in Chiang Mai. I don't think they sell retail, though.
