January 5, 201313 yr I just returned from overseas after a 2-month absence. I re-activated my DTAC pre-paid SIM card, and to my utter surprise, I could log on to my Skype and Gmail chat using my cheapo 60-baht SIM card. For a moment I thought I must have piggy-back on some free Wi-Fi in my area. I turned off my Wi-Fi but I could still serve the Net. So this afternoon, all the way from Central World Plaza to Thonglor I was able to surf the Net. Now, did I miss some good news when I was away ? Is DTAC giving out free data roaming ?
January 5, 201313 yr Can you share any details? Type of SIM, plan, phone, etc.? Were you getting 3G? Did you have a plan before you left? AFAIK, DTAC/Happy does not offer free mobile data. They do have a 49 baht daily plan. What are the replies to: *101*9# *101*4# Without a lot more details my best guess is that you were paying by the minute or Kilo-Byte.

I guess my honeymoon period has just expired. I woke up in the morning to find that my 48 baht remainder had gone south to 0.64 baht. I didn't make any calls the previous day, except for a 40-min Skype.
January 6, 201313 yr If you have a dtac internet sim (pre-paid) then they'll deduct 0.25 Baht per minute being online tiill your credit is gone... So your 48 Baht should have given you around 3 hours of internet! Sent from my GT-I9001 using Thaivisa Connect App
