Will A Uk Purchased Wii Work In Thailand

Featured Replies

A UK biased Thai friend whats to take her Wii to give to her family in Thailand, I am guessing yes but can anyone confirm?

cheers

Yes, my Wii works just fine...!

The only thing they might have issues with, is if they buy any new games over here. There could be compatibility problems (but not always) and they may find that some Asian-based games do not work!?

Other than that, they should be just fine with the Wii and games they are bringing from the UK...

Cheers,

M

Yes - it will work - with a plug adapter, but I bought all the games for it in the UK also, so I don't know what would happen with games bought here...

Only thing I'd double-check is that the video cable still has separate yellow, red and black phono plugs on it, and that it's not going straight to a Scart plug, as Scart seems to only be used in Europe, so isn't on TVs here.

I bought mine in the UK and brought it with me. Works fine, no Scart lead......... but, I have not been able to get any locally bought games to work, Only those I brought from UK.
