Any such thing in Chiang Mai? I believe Subway used to have such wraps on the menu - at least in the USA - but have now been discontinued.

Instead of bread or rolls, wraps use 10-inch flour tortillas.

Funny, I walked in o the "California Wraps" sandwich bar in Kat Farang (Hang Dong), hoping to find some wraps on the menu. None of the staff knew what a California wrap was, much less a tortilla.

I have sampled fish tacos at Miguel's (Nong Hoi) and the Hideaway Restaurant & Bakery, but both were disappointing. The Hideaway's fish taco should be re-named "taco winyan pla" ("วิญญาณปลา") as the amount of fish was microscopic!

Any recommendations? Perhaps a place that features fish & chips?

Can you identify what type of fish is used? Many thanks!

"California Wraps" owner lived in California and had a restaurant as I recall. Nice lady, food was good. Maybe they changed ownership? Been years since I was there...

Edit: Just read she sold out years ago.

Fish and chips are the British bar (who is a sponsor) on loi Khro Road

Also that mall at the end of the night Bazaar, Pan Tip Plaza, 4th floor for fish tacos

At most food courts is a place that does fish and rice, I say hold the rice and add french fries. Cheep 55bt.

I don't think that California wraps were popular when I lived in the US and the ones that I have tried here have not made me a fan. I never had fish tacos in the US either, but the ones at Miguel's taste OK to me. However, I much prefer a chicken and bean burrito with guacamole and sour cream.
