Applied for a double entry tourist visa and was originally to be leaving the 15th of march...as for what i put down on the on the application form...my visa is on the way in the mail now...as for the 15th of march....can i leave earlier...can i leave before the 15th...trying to leave early for a graduation in thailand...and trying to find out if i can buy my ticket now...would like to leave around the 3rd of march...checking to make sure i can leave earlier then the date i put down on the application form...like as soon as i get the visa in the mail this week....new with the visas...

Your visa will be valid from the date it is ISSUED by the embassy/ consulate, not the date you said you want to travel. So, assuming it arrives before you want to travel, you will have no problems :o
