Canadians Visiting Vietnam

We are looking to take a short trip maybe a couple weeks Bangkok to Ho Chi MInh and return. Do we need any special visa's? We have Canadian passports.

I'm assuming you don't live in Thailand, you can enter Thailand visa free for the duration of your visit but you will require a visa for Vietnam.

You can either apply for a Vietnamese visa in your country of residence http://www.vietem-ca.com/html/service.html or in Bangkok, that would mean being without your passport for a couple of days, and a couple of hours wasted in the Vietnam Embsassy.

The alternative is to apply for a Visa on arrival on line, you pay a processing fee and then a fee when you arrive in HCM, many people use this service and swear by it. This is one company http://www.vietnam-visa.com/ but there are many if you Google it.
