Is Tv Slow Today

Featured Replies

Is TV slow today or is it just my antiquated browser showing it's age. The screens are taking forever to come up and I have made a couple of posts that have ended up in a black hole, never to be read.

I reported the same problem not long ago. Some people are having problems getting pages to load.I've done everything to try and solve the problem but it's still taking forever to render.

No issues with hosting or bandwidth. What ISP's are you on, guys?

I'm on 3BB and have no issues.

Both my 3BB home connection and university connection no speed issues in Chiang Mai.

I'm on True.I've tried different browsers,different computers,different dns settings.All to no avail.

I'm on TOT. I live in the sticks and they just upgraded the system 2 weeks ago. Max upload used to be 1MBPS now it's 5MBPS. TV worked fine up to 2 days ago and then slowed down, all other websites seem to be okay. No choice where I live, it's TOT or carrier pidgeon. Tried winnet, but no los to only tower due to trees.

Have had problems for the last several days using Firefox 18 as described by the OP

Solved it by using IE 9 today, page loading much quicker and no black holes

I discovered today that True use transparent proxy's,and that'll slow down a lot of sites.I've switched to a vpn service and it seems to be loading pretty quick now.

I'm on true and have been having this issue for the past few days.

Still slow as molasses today.

The way I deal with this slowness/lack of TVF page loading is to enable the true proxy. With the proxy enabled the pages seem to load. When I disable it is when I have the slowness. By default I don't like to surf through their proxy but I have it setup in chrome so that with the push of a button the web traffic is routed through the proxy.

proxy.asianet.co.th port 8080

is what I use.

Pathetically slow again today, and hangs when I make a post. I use True and have a fast (ish) connection that is working fine on all other sites I use.

Only TV is having problems.

Are you using the True proxy cache? Try to toggle it off and on.

How exactly do I do that ?

Sorry - After looking at Post #11 I still don't what this means? I have internet from True and it launches with an irritating home site from True?

The official TRUE proxy is often broken too - then nothing loads. But sometimes it helps speeding up!

The transparent proxy they use is a big mess which is mainly responsible for your browsing problems. And it seems, they never get it right.

So use a VPN which goes around the lack of IT engineering skills in Thailand. The VPN slows down your traffic too, but often faster than the TRUE server infrastructure.

Thanks - that must explain my mysterious internet problems.
