First lot are mainline going in, 8.5 PVC 100mm x 850 meters, hard work but once it's in it is done finished, stand pipes every 150 meters for our drip system. Well done, looking good did you end up using a laser level scraper on your plots. Could you also tell us about your pump type and size and water supply. Could you also tell us about your pump type and size and water supply. Regards Hi ya Farmerjo, Thanks for your reply. Good memory about the laser levelling, in the end we did laser level the plot and it went well, only issue was we had to do it in 2 tiers as the fall was too great but hey first attempt so I'm happy how it worked out. I will try to find some pump images and such at work right now so limited to what I have with me. The main filter and pump assembly is trailer mounted along with 2 lift off secondary units which are placed in the field near the mainline standpipes and then hooked into sub mains which feed the drip tape. The pump is a single cylinder HINOTA diesel which pumps 600 lpm @ 24 mh, it covers our drip tape requirements with ease and is very cost effective to run, cheap. Other than that we draw from our dam which is bore fed from a 6" bore we have plenty of water, first thing we did was bore and dams on most our our blocks, and still developing. Anyhow as you can see I get very passionate about our farms and can waffle on for hours...8)

Ron19
In recent years, locals have been taking out Mango's and planting Banana's in their place. This farmer has gone the other way and taken Banana's out and planted Mango's yesterday. In my way of thinking, this is a wise move as every second farmer has a Banana patch which makes it harder to sell at a good price. One recent local Banana plantation is around 40 rai !!! One of the early planters. More red dragon flowers. rice555

One could say that of mangoes as well - everyone and every farmer has a few or numerous mangoes on their property, unless the idea behind this is nursery stock.
