Report Social Media Star’s Licence Suspended Over Careless Driving Video
Picture courtesy of Inquirer In a move stirring lively debate, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the driving licence of popular social media personality Cherry White. The action comes after a video showing Cherry driving in a concerning manner went viral, drawing intense scrutiny from both the public and regulatory bodies. Cherry White, known for her substantial online following, was captured driving with one leg casually reclined on the driver's seat. This apparent disregard for safe driving practices has sparked widespread condemnation and prompted the LTO to act, fearing the potential influence such behaviour might have on her audience. Acting Assistant Secretary and LTO chief Greg Pua explained the decision in a statement on Friday: “The video could lead to road accidents, endangering not only her life but also the lives of other road users.” As a consequence, Cherry’s licence has been suspended for 90 days. Pua highlighted the potential dangers of the video being interpreted as endorsing unsafe driving habits. “The information we received indicated that this personality has a strong following on social media, and the video is dangerous since it may give the impression that such driving is acceptable,” he remarked. The LTO has initiated an investigation, starting with a show-cause order against Cherry. They’ve requested her to explain why she should not face further penalties for being deemed an “Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle,” in accordance with Section 27(a) of the Republic Act 4136, which addresses reckless driving. Cherry has been instructed to surrender her driver’s licence and appear at the LTO Central Office in Quezon City. The vehicle featured in the viral video is currently flagged in the LTO system while the enquiry unfolds. This incident underscores the broader issue of social media influence on public behaviour, particularly concerning safety practices. In an age where influencers hold significant sway, this case serves as a vivid reminder of the responsibility that comes with such a platform. The LTO’s decisive action reflects its commitment to promoting road safety and curbing dangerous driving behaviours that could result from such widely viewed content. As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what the full repercussions for Cherry White will be, but the message is clear: safety remains paramount on the roads. This development has become a talking point across various communities, emphasising the crucial balance between online popularity and real-world responsibility. UK UK-Based Muslim Matchmaking Site Under Fire for Promoting Virgin Brides and Polygamy
The Muslim population in the UK is around 4 million, representing roughly 6% of the total population in England and Wales. This figure is based on the 2021 census, which also indicated a 44% increase in the Muslim population over the past decade. 2021, so now 4 years later, and by the way it is about the numbers, it's about dominant and taking over and the UK is quickly being taken over by those guys. you just wait and see. -

UK Mohammed Fahir Amaaz & Muhammad Amaad on Trial over Manchester Airport Clash
When this started I read a vague report that suggested that this started with words said on the plane. It now seems that it was some sort of trolley rage and the guy said something to the mother. I assume we will find out eventually. I also notice that the mother was in the thick of the attack on the police. Just wondering who does the small child belong to? -

You are missing the point Sir. '',,,,,,,, whether they are right or not.'' Simply not giving any voice to whoever didn't agree with the Government policy. If you don't let them speak; you don't have to shut them down. Easy peasy. The road to tyranny?!- 1
