Child prostitution boss busted in Lat Phrao

BANGKOK: -- Yesterday, Wang Thong Lang police arrested a 25-year-old woman who was accused of operating a child prostitution ring in Lat Phrao.

Kanyaphuk Hongsa, a Chainat local, was busted at Central Mansion on Soi Lat Phrao 122 after supplying a 15-year-old prostitute for undercover officers.

Police received reports that Kanyaphuk was operating a prostitution ring and set up a sting operation in which they offered THB2,000 for the girl.

Dunno what part of Thailand you live in but the 1 thing I am sure of is if they are working in Gogo bars at 15 in that neck of the woods i'm glad I live in Chiang Mai.

Ha Ha I thought non child prostitution was illegal here, so if we call them all escorts under age escorts- and legal escorts, that covers all go gos and massage etc. If no sex occurs it's o.k. if sex takes place it's illegal for minors-or the selling/buying of the person. A friend of mine said if a client (takes off) the person from the bar, and pays the take off fee... it's not his business if they have sex-he only employs them at the go go.

Also, I have no time for perverts and peopel that hire children for sex but it is good to see the Thai authorities arrest a local that was catering to the underage sex trade. While foreigners that engage in hiring underage prostitutes are deplorable, there is most often a local national "enabler."
