Extension Of Non O Based On Work And Marriage

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am in the process of preparing docusments to extend my Non O to one year from its current multiple status, based on work and marriage. I currently have the following and wanted to check if it would be sufficient. Thank you in advance:

Work Permit

3 x payslips showing over 40k baht (me)

3 x payslips showing over 40k baht (wife)

tabien baan (me, yellow)

tabien baan (wife)

marriage certificate

sons birth certificate

What I do not have is 400k in the bank, am I right in thinking that as I have 3 x 40k payslips that this overides the need to have 400k in the bank? Between the wife and I we have about 150k over 3 accounts.

Also, my school is saying my wife must apply with me in person at immigration, does anyone know if this is correct?

Thank you for your troubles...

There is a lot wrong with the above.

You extend based on Work or Marriage. Not both.

It has to be Your bank account.

Your money.

Your salary

Your Wife's financials do not come into it. They are irrelevant.

Yes, she has to go with you and be interviewed.

You are going to have to ask them exactly what they will accept as proof of your income within Thailand.

As far as I know it is Tax receipts.

A Rough Guide.

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Letter from your Thai Bank showing balance and up to date bank book.

OR.

If income from outside Thailand: Letter from your Embassy showing income. Now may also need proof of income as back up.

If Income from Thailand: Statements showing Income Tax reciepts.

Marriage Certificate

Marriage Registry entry.

Wife's Tabbien Baan and ID Card.

Your Passport.

Copies of everything.

Photos of you and your Wife in and around the house.

A map showing the way to your house.

Passport size photos and 1,900 Baht fee.

Take your Wife to be interviewed.

One or two witnesses may be required.

You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.

Go back in a month and get the remainder.
