I was wondering if it is somehow easier for foreigner married to Thais to obtain a work permit? Does anybody have some knowledge about this?

Only to the extent it may be easier for some companies (number of workers/capitalization) to qualify for issue of a work permit. For most it makes no difference.

Half the number of Thai employees and capital.

Plus if you are on an extension of stay based upon marriage they do not have to put together the half inch thick stack of documents together for a working extension.
