Hi there... need a bit of help if poss from you lads.

1) I have lost my yellow card with my tax number on it. Where do I go to get a new one and what do i need?

2) My friend has had his work permit now for nine months and there is no sign of the tax card. Where can he go and what does he need to collect it?

1. Revenue department. If you don't know your tax id number, check with whoever handles the payroll / tax payments for your employer as that is filed both with the withholding tax and social security contributions.

2. Revenue department. But he need to question whether his employer has paid his income taxes properly if he don't have a tax id card / tax id no. A company I worked for a few years ago deducted it from the salary but didn't pay it in or report it to the revenue dept for some employees...
