Grand Sukhumvit Hotels

Featured Replies

Booked 5 star mystery hotel with latestays and got this hotel, 17,500 without breakfast for 7 nights, do this live up to its 5 star rating by latestays ?

Is that the name of the hotel? Hard to imagine you staying in a 5 star hotel for that price.

I've stayed in a 5 star hotel for free. It all depends on the marketing that they're doing.

Yes it's called Grand Sukhumvit, it's on soi 6, 17,500 baht seems cheap to me also if indeed it rates as 5 stars

Their website lists 7 nights at around 22000 Baht so a good deal.

I've stayed there a year or so ago - I was with Agoda and upon arrival we were upgraded to an apartment - the room was ace, breakfast was great, got a nice pool and its a really good location.

That Soi can get jammed at certain times of the day, but it is an easy walk to the main road. Soi 8 is just a two min walk to the right as you leave the hotel. It has so e interesting bars and restaurants.

Sukhumvit Grande, the former Sofitel? It's nice, especially if you get an upgrade deal. I stayed there for xmas 2008 and had what was basically a luxuy apartment for £45 a night.

Thanks falcon, going to take a stroll to soi 8 for some lunch now. Nice hotel but wouldn't be up there with some of the other 5 star hotels in bangkok, i'd rate it as an excellent 4 star but not sure it warrants its 5 stars

Lolitas is close by! :D
