20 Month Old Child On 6 Weeks Overstay

Hi

My daughter, she is 20 months old, and I will be leaving for Hong Kong in 2 weeks. She originally arrived, from the UK, 5th December 2012, on a 30 day stamp.

When we leave, she will have approximately 6 weeks overstay. I am under the impression children under 7 years old don't get fined for overstaying visas!?

Will we encounter any problems at the airport? Will I have to pay any overstay fines for her?

Under 15 will not be carged with overstay. The overstay will be marked in her passport, but no fine is charged.

When you go trhough immigration, immirgation will notice the oevrstay and send you to a supervisor where some forms need to be filled in and the passport stamped. It will mean that going through immirgaiton takes about 20 minutes longer. So arrive a bit early.
