Any Guitarists Here Who Have Experience With Tyma Guitars?

Just looking for a kick around guitar and saw this TYMA guitar that was discounted down from 6500 to 3500 baht. I'm usually fairly dubious of the many brands I've never even heard of here in Thailand but the guy in the store was playing it and it sounded alright.

On the same rack were a Yamaha 310 and an Epiphone DR-100. I had a play of all 3 and the TYMA which was quite a bit lighter in weight than the other guitars had a warmer sound. Obviously they are all laminate bodies at this price but there was a relatively significant difference in weight between the Epiphone/Yamaha and the TYMA. Back home I've only had experience with a $400 AUD Yamaha laminate and then a $1700 Cole Clark which is full wood so don't know what I should be expecting for a less than $200 guitar.

So just wanted any feedback from anyone who has owned a TYMA and whether they still play well after a year or two or three. I'm not looking for a guitar to keep for life and will probably give it away when my kid is of school age and I return to Australia but until then I'd like something that is playable so any opinions or other suggestions and I'm all ears.

If it feels, and sound good. Go for it.

You cant expect too much when the guitar is that cheap.

That's what I was thinking so I ended up buying it.

I know this is a bit late, but i was playing a TYMA HDC-100 while googling for them and saw this thread - bought mine a month ago for 3,500 Bt, and had just left a £700 Tanglewood behind in the UK. While the Tyma can't be expected to have the bottom-end of an all-mahogany Tanglewood, i think it is a great guitar for just £70. I love the lightness and the volume and general build-quality. I took the original saddle out immediately (always lower actions) and it's now really playable. I just wanted something i could throw in the car or take to the park...and at ONE TENTH of the Tanglewood price-ticket - Recommended !
