It is tax season again and I am considering getting married to a Thai national.

My question is that if I get married in Feb 2013 can I claim the spouse tax rebate of 30k baht when I submit my tax for 2012 in March?

Posted

No.

The Tax documents to be submitted by the end of March is for the 2012 financial year, the marriage to your lady is in the 2013 financial year.

No

If your income is xxxx amount you deduct the the 30,000 from that amount which lowers your net income after all deductions that determines how much tax you pay.
