Fire leads to panic at North Pattaya Massage & Spa

PATTAYA: -- For the second time in under 12 months a fire caused panic amongst foreign patrons and staff at a North Pattaya Massage & Spa. Luckily no injuries were reported.

Just after 5pm on Wednesday Police and Fire Rescue Units were called to the Pavillion Massage & Spa at the north end of Pattaya Second Road. Hundreds of foreign patrons and staff members had gathered at the front of the building after they were safely evacuated after smoke was seen to fill the building.

Fire Fighters quickly pinpointed the location of the fire which had begun inside the ceiling compartment inside one of the massage rooms. It is thought that an electrical short circuit in cables powering an air-conditioning unit was to blame.

I think what really started the fire, was NO building codes, or Inspections.
