my gf is applying for a visa to visit me ,,,she is under the impression that she can turn up for visa application,,, im on the understanding that she will do online and will be asked about appointment during the online application ,, she will traveling from phuket to bangkok i am sending all paperwork to support visa ,,, pls could someone clarify all this ,, cos it getting an headache

It is most likely that she will need to submit online - and then attend to present the supporting paperwork and undergo biometric testing.

The website information is very clear and there are dozens of helpful posts on here.

sorry guys i'm in the uk ,, bit more detail she looking to go to bangkok april the 3rd to do visa for visit 3rd week june for 16 days

Yes, she submits her application online, makes an appointment to visit the VFS Application Centre where she submits a hard copy of her application together with her supporting documents and the application fee.

At this stage her biometric details are captured.
