Are you talking about an extension from immigration or a visa from a Consulate? Are they asking for where you live or for Thai spouse? Normally home register is always required of Thai for marriage extensions of stay and now is being asked for visa issue from Consulates (along with copy of there ID card or passport).

I always took the chanotes with me (just as a precaution) when I went and did my extension (Marriage, Jomtien) but was never asked for them.

Sounds like you are using a Thai company that actually owns the house. Immigration wants to see the actual shareholders list of who owns the house..

You have been making copies of you wife's blue house book for each extension you have gotten already.

Your black house book is not the same though because it is proof of ownership.
