February 24, 201313 yr Wife says its legal to gamble as long as the body is still in the house. Not sure if law has changed in her part of issan or not. But, its still the tradition and the cops were some of the most frequent participants! When FIL passed away two years ago there was heavy gambling for three full days and nights till cremation. Looks like something is not being included in the story? Like money owed and not collected. Family fueds? Some other shenanigans not reported in the story? Maybe those cops weren't properly invited to the "festivities"? Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app
February 25, 201313 yr Gambling at a funeral is a tradition the same as police asking for Chinese New Year's money.
