Pci Express Usb 3.0 Adapter

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm in Chiang Mai and could only find one no-name 4 port card for 490 Bt.

I'm really looking for something with 2 ports at the rear and a 20 pin connector for connecting to the front. This is to go in my Asus P5B-WiFi Delux based PC that I just resurrected with Windows 8 Pro.

Something like this would be perfect.

I'll be in Bangkok a couple of times over the next 10 days either side of a trip to Singapore where I'll also look.

Has anybody seen anything like this in FortuneIT or Panthip?

cheers

I just installed a 4 port on my 5 year old computer. It does not work. I have one pci-e slot but I think it is 1.0 and you need a pci e slot that is 2.0 or above.

TV sponsor invadeit.co.th has them.

Both posters above me could try to find a PCI based card as a solution. I see this 2 port USB 3.0 PCI card - http://www.addonics.com/products/ad2u3pci.php - but it doesn't have the 20 pin front panel connector. some more PCI cards here : http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007531%20600022008&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&SrchInDesc=3.0&Page=1&PageSize=50

invadeit have what the OP asked for at just under 2k http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/computer-accessories/orico/5-port-usb3-0-expansion-card-with-20pin-usb3-0-internal-expansion-pvu3-502i-p013450/

Thanks for the replies. I found the Orico brand from InvadeIT, before that I'd never heard of it. 40 pounds for USB card seems like a lot so and as it's not a priority, I will wait to get one from eBay. This one for less than 14 pounds complete with front panel seems like a much better deal. No guarantee either will have more chances of working so I'd rather take the punt on the cheaper one. Shame they won't post to Thailand though so I'll get it in the summer when I'm back in the UK.
