I have a little tiny remote which iused to come with the old macbooks.

I actually found this amazingly useful, and now with the growth of internet video supply it is becoming more desirable than ever.

The phone rings.....I have to stop, get up, walk across the room, turn the sound down, go back to the phone.

When the calls over the same again.

Yet with my Macbook Air....no remote.

Is there an option?....

Thinking aloud guess I could have a remote trackpad, but much easier the old way, volume up volume down, start stop. That's it.

Yeah and the main reason I need this is when one of the best shows on TV the Daily Show is interrupted by the worst ads on TV.

Usually just do streaming but be nice to have them waiting for me.....bit like a podcast eh?

I presume they filter the hits for maximum speedability.....the two I have running right now look slow course it might just be a bad day.

If you are using VLC to play your videos, there is an app for iOS called VLC remote. It will work on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches through your wifi connection. There's a free and a pay version at the App Store.
