Video Of Mercedes Driver Attacking Two Girls For Not Backing Up

Featured Replies

This has been all over the Thai news apparently. Happened near Ratchada on a small soi. Apparently as two girls in a van were trying to exit a small soi, a mercedes benz driven by a brother in law of a police officer enters the soi and instead of backing up 5 meters to a place where the girls in the van could pass through insists that they back all the way down the soi. The driver says she asked politely the first time but the benz driver refused and became enraged. He walked up to her window and grabbed her keys out of the ignition while the van was idling. That part doesn't make sense to me as how could he expect her to back up with no keys. Apparently she got them back and then got out to call her dad. The guy then got in her face and then pushed and then punched and kicked her. The drivers friend came to help and then the man pushed and hit her too saying "back your car up!!". The soi was very long and to back it up to a suitable place meant going in reverse for several hundred meters. Of course the local guys watching it did nothing to help as I guess they knew that the man was related to a police family that lived on the street - where the benz driver was headed. The girl even says "you guys arent going to help me?!"

Eventually the girls relent and get back in the van and back all the way down the soi. Afterwards a guy on a motorcycle who had been filming the incident gave the video clip to the girl who subsequently went to the police station. The police summoned the benz driver who claimed the girl in the van hit him first. The craziest part is that when he said that, the girl produced the video clip to prove him wrong. EVEN THEN he denied he was in the wrong, he wouldn't accept it. So now the case has attracted a lot of publicity and the police are "investigating"....

The first link has the video given to the girl in the van. If you watch until the end it shows the house the benz driver was headed to where it has on the gate "police house" or something to that effect. The second is the news story and interview with the girl.

Will be interesting to see how this punk gets out of it. We all know he will.

Big car , small something. I spent a good few years in a country where a merc was a taxi.

Or was the equivalent of a ford escort

PS

I drive a Merc Sportie an Escort Lotus.

See the other thread on it which was on here a couple of days ago and read the posts where Thai people have translated what was said.
