Residential Building Laws.

I heard that, like in most western countries, Thailand does actually have building laws even though they are seldom enforced and one of the things I've been told is that people can't build a house/apartment within 2mtrs of the fence/wall that divides two properties, anyone know if this is correct?

I believe it's 1m if the wall has no windows. Check with your local planning chap.

That is if the wall of the building has no windows (or doors).
