Internet Recommendation (3Bb Or Tot)

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Will be moving to Nong Hoi, close to 89 Plaza, very soon. Would like to get some feedback from those living in that area. Which provider do you have and would you recommend or not? Does anyone know if they have True Cable in that area? Thanks for any feedback.

3BB is advertising a new deal on Fiber 30/3 for 1,200 baht which seems like an amazing deal. Since it's fiber chances are it'll go where you are....

As a qualified technical ignoramus, I would like to understand if True cable is same as 3BB fibre optic? How widely are they available in Chiang Mai? Are they so much better than old phone line / router system?

when it comes to providers it's very location dependent. I would ask around in the close vicinity to see what people like.

Just one piece of overloaded or underloaded equipment or facility can make all the difference.

Hey Snake,

That's what I'm asking - around TV, but still haven't rec'd any one that lives around there that replies. Surely there's many farangs around that area having internet. Let's hear from you all please.

Hello

I am living in that area and we have 3BB. I have found them to be great, no problems whatsoever. I had TOT when I lived in the old city and they were crap but it was quite a few years ago now.

We got 3BB installed recently and I am more than happy with it. When we had a problem recently they came out to sort it immediately.

Go for 3BB in my opinion, no doubt about it. Hope that helps. :)

Me too I live within spitting distance of 89 plaza and have 3bb (cheap option 630 baht per month), it's good but more importantly their support is excellent, I got up one Sunday morning and had no internet called them and in less than a hour a guy turned up and fixed it. I think your pretty much stuck with 3bb there is certainly no True cable where I live, and it is average anyway.
