<p>2013-03-04 08:30:34 GMT+7 (ICT) </p><br /> <p>MOSCOW, RUSSIA (BNO NEWS) -- At least five people, including three children, were killed after a house caught fire in the Urals region of Russia, officials said Sunday.<br /></p><br /><p>The fire broke out early Sunday morning at a one-story residential house in the city of Kartaly, located in the Chelyabinsk Region in the Urals.<br /></p><br /><p>Russia's Emergencies Ministry said the fire engulfed an area of 50 square meters, which took firefighters around 90 minutes to put out, RIA Novosti reported. The fire killed an adult male and female, as well as three young girls aged 1, 6 and 7.<br /></p><br /><p>The reason of the fire is still being investigated, but fires in residential buildings in Russia have been on the rise due to failure to comply with fire safety requirements.<br /></p><br /><p>Last January, eight workers died after a fire broke out at an administrative building in Yekaterinburg, also in the Urals. In one of the most deadliest fires, more than 150 people were killed after a Urals' nightclub caught fire in December 2009.<br /></p> <p> tvn.png
